Manufacturing Associate, Library Production

Location: USA - South San Francisco, California; onsite laboratory role

Salary: $21–$25 USD per hour, plus bonus, equity, and benefits

What you will do

• Manufacture bespoke variant library products, custom gene products, and intermediates according to established SOPs.
• Perform PCR, DNA quantitation, DNA handling, DNA purification, and other molecular biology workflows.
• Operate robotic laboratory equipment and instruments including bioanalyzers, centrifuges, thermocyclers, spectrometers, HPLCs, and next-generation sequencing equipment.
• Complete batch records and maintain accurate documentation of production, problems, and process deviations.
• Support evaluation of new molecular biology approaches and update work instructions and documentation.
• Package products and complete assigned tasks to maintain the daily manufacturing schedule.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or associate degree in biology, chemistry, biochemistry, or molecular biology preferred; relevant laboratory experience may be considered.
• Familiarity with or prior experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and careful attention to detail.
• Computer proficiency, including Excel, Word, Jira, Confluence, web-based systems, or similar tools.
• Ability to work safely with chemicals and hazardous materials, stand for extended periods, and lift up to 20 pounds.
• Ability to work flexible shifts or outside regular hours as needed.
