Director, US Patient Advocacy & Professional Engagement

Location: Fully remote role with occasional domestic travel of approximately 10–20% for team meetings and events.

What you will do

• Develop and implement external partner engagement strategies aligned with business and community needs.
• Build relationships with patient organizations, advocacy groups, foundations, individual patients, and professional medical associations.
• Lead initiatives, events, workshops, conferences, and partnerships that support patient communities and advance disease understanding.
• Bring patient perspectives into clinical development, product decisions, patient support initiatives, and the full asset lifecycle.
• Provide insight into health policy, market access, and reimbursement trends.
• Collaborate with Clinical Development, Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Communications, Human Resources, Legal, and Compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, healthcare, public health, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in patient advocacy, patient engagement, or related roles in biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or healthcare organizations.
• Deep understanding of respiratory conditions, including NTM Lung Disease and Bronchiectasis, with the ability to explain complex scientific concepts to diverse audiences.
• Experience developing and delivering strategic projects, managing budgets, and working across multiple therapeutic areas.
• Peer leadership experience with the ability to motivate and influence matrixed teams.
• Knowledge of regulatory, ethical, and pharmaceutical promotional review processes related to patient advocacy and engagement.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree such as an MBA, PharmD, PhD, or MD.
