Location: Tucson, Arizona, United States; onsite work in a U.S. office

What you will do

  • Support the development of payload flight software for Space Systems programs.
  • Design and deploy novel algorithms in austere, size-, weight-, and power-constrained sensor environments.
  • Contribute to software design and development from requirements generation through implementation, testing, and deployment.
  • Develop performance-oriented software using accelerator technologies and parallel processing approaches.
  • Build flight software for spacecraft supporting the U.S. Space Development Agency’s Proliferated Warfighter Space Architecture.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or computer engineering.
  • 8+ years of embedded software engineering experience.
  • Experience designing complex multithreaded applications and flight software.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance.
  • For U.S. office roles, eligibility to work with ITAR-regulated technology is required, including U.S. citizenship, lawful U.S. permanent residence, qualifying refugee or asylum status, or the ability to obtain the required authorizations.

Nice to have

  • Experience with high-performance and parallel processing.
  • Exposure to FPGA, CUDA, and other novel architectures.
  • Familiarity with flight software system management and numerical computing principles.
  • Experience implementing algorithms.
  • Exposure to Python and MATLAB.
