Founding AI Engineer

Location: On-site in San Francisco, CA; candidates must be based in San Francisco or willing to relocate

Salary: $120,000–$180,000 USD annually, plus equity

hirify.global is an early-stage construction technology startup building an AI intelligence layer for construction documents and infrastructure development.

What you will do

• Build computer vision, LLM, and multimodal AI systems for blueprints, permits, and construction documents.
• Develop modeling, data pipelines, and inference systems for automated material takeoffs and cost estimation.
• Prototype rapidly and iterate using user feedback and production data.
• Deploy reliable AI systems that process noisy, heterogeneous inputs.
• Own the intelligence layer end to end, including data labeling, ETL, and deployment.
• Collaborate with product and users to identify and solve high-impact problems.

Requirements

• Production experience applying computer vision, multimodal AI, and LLM techniques to messy real-world documents or similar unstructured data.
• Experience launching AI systems into production or building core parts of a new product.
• Experience building or shipping products used by real users or customers.
• Ability to iterate quickly on prototypes based on user feedback.
• US work authorization required.
• Must work full-time in the San Francisco office; relocation to San Francisco is possible.

Nice to have

• Construction domain knowledge.
• Experience as a new-product or 0-to-1 builder.
