Staff Software Engineer (AI Fintech SaaS)

Location: Fully remote for candidates based in the United States or Canada

Salary: $185,000–$240,000 USD annually

What you will do

• Partner with technical leadership and teammates to prioritize and execute the product roadmap.
• Design, develop, and own complex software features and components end to end.
• Deliver robust, scalable, and well-tested full-stack code.
• Shape platform architecture and establish engineering best practices.
• Collaborate with Design and Operations to improve the product.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to a high-performing, collaborative engineering culture.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software development experience, including 3+ years contributing to system design or architecture.
• Strong full-stack proficiency with TypeScript and JavaScript on the frontend, Node.js on the backend, and required React experience.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform and BigQuery, including architecting, deploying, and operating scalable services.
• Experience modeling, querying, and optimizing MongoDB schemas for performance at scale.
• Testing experience across unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
• Staff-level technical leadership, architecture ownership, executive collaboration, and a preference for a senior individual-contributor career path.
