Application Engineer (Data Center Cooling)

Location: Remote - US, with up to 25% travel to customer sites and company facilities

What you will do

• Review design drawings and submittals for cooling-system application accuracy, equipment selection, capacity, and hydronic configuration.
• Work with customer and consulting design engineers to assess and validate equipment applications.
• Support estimating with equipment selections and technical scope input for accurate proposals.
• Provide engineering support to project management, including technical questions, drawing conflicts, RFIs, and submittal responses.
• Support customers with application and technical questions through installation and startup.
• Feed field experience into research, development, and product improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 8+ years of mechanical engineering experience in cooling equipment application or design review.
• Expertise in data center cooling systems, including chillers, CDUs, and liquid cooling for AI or hyperscale deployments.
• Applications engineering experience at a cooling equipment manufacturer.
• Fluency in mechanical design documents, schedules, and hydronic schematics.
• Strong client communication skills and comfort working directly with customer engineers and consultants.
