Sr Certified Appraiser

Location: Hybrid, based in Worthington, Minnesota, with up to 50% work from home. Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States.

Base pay: $94,400–$127,700 USD annually, plus variable compensation and benefits.

What you will do

• Produce credible, reliable, and well-supported real estate valuation conclusions and concise appraisal reports in accordance with USPAP.
• Complete benchmark studies, collect and analyze market data, and maintain accurate sales and valuation databases.
• Physically inspect properties and comparable sales, documenting size, condition, location, improvements, and other relevant characteristics.
• Research building costs and depreciation, and provide market insights to lending, credit, and other internal departments and clients.
• Develop an external book of business and provide leadership and expertise for complex or specialized appraisals.
• Train and mentor Associate Appraisers and Appraisers while maintaining the required professional license and continuing education.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in agriculture-business, business administration, finance, economics, or a related field, or equivalent education and experience.
• At least 7 years of related experience as a Certified Appraiser.
• Certified General Real Estate Appraiser license.
• Advanced knowledge of USPAP, appraisal concepts, client service, relationship management, and confidential information handling.
• Knowledge of applicable federal and Illinois, Minnesota, and Wisconsin laws, regulations, and financial-industry compliance requirements.
• Valid driver’s license and strong computer, communication, and CRM skills.

Nice to have

• Accredited Rural Appraiser or MAI designation.
