What you will do

• Support veterinarians and the practice team in delivering high-level veterinary care.
• Assist with lab, radiology, anesthesia, and dental equipment, including work involving animal bodily fluids and tissues.
• Follow clinical policies, Standard Operating Procedures, Standards of Care, and integrated practice technology.
• Communicate patient updates to veterinarians and provide empathetic client service, including reviewing invoices and processing payments.
• Use the PIMS system, maintain controlled substance logs, support inventory management, and clean workspaces after patient or lab interactions.
• Complete required compliance and self-development training; weekend work and some travel may be required.

Requirements

• 0–2 years of experience as a Veterinary Assistant in a veterinary practice.
• Experience in veterinary medicine and the ability to complete the Veterinary Assistant skills checklist.
• Strong communication, observation, analytical, empathy, and customer service skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to stand or walk for up to 80% of a shift and frequently lift 50–70 pounds, with team assistance for heavier loads.
