Director of Architecture & Enabling Services (AI)

Location: North Andover, Massachusetts, United States; hybrid schedule may allow eligible associates to work from home up to two days per week after training.

What you will do

• Lead enterprise architecture, application security, data architecture, automation, quality engineering, and AI strategy.
• Define architecture standards for .NET and ASP.NET Core microservices, APIs, event-driven integrations, shared services, and modernization initiatives.
• Own SDLC standards, Agile delivery, release management, CI/CD, testing, engineering metrics, and technical debt reduction.
• Lead delivery of AI-enabled capabilities such as intelligent search, forecasting, anomaly detection, automation, and conversational experiences.
• Oversee production operations, on-call programs, critical incident response, observability, root cause analysis, and reliability improvements.
• Partner with Product Management on roadmap execution, prioritization, stakeholder communication, and cross-team dependencies.

Requirements

• 12+ years of software engineering experience, including 5+ years leading architecture, development, test automation, and QA organizations.
• Prior Director-level or equivalent second-line leadership experience.
• Experience leading large-scale customer-facing production systems with demanding availability, performance, and data integrity requirements.
• Strong technical leadership across enterprise architecture, cloud platforms, quality engineering, security, automation, data platforms, and modern software delivery.
• Experience adopting AI-enabled engineering practices and delivering AI-powered capabilities.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience; expertise with Apache Iceberg, Metabase, .NET, SQL Server, React, and AWS is preferred.

• Experience with Flutter, Redis, Power BI, and modern lakehouse or data warehouse platforms.
• Experience leading enterprise modernization, platform engineering, or cloud transformation initiatives.
• Automotive, mobility, fleet, or rental industry experience.
