Field Reimbursement Manager (Pharmaceutical Reimbursement)

Location: Hartford, Connecticut; territory covers Connecticut and Rhode Island. Candidates must live in the geography or within 10 miles of its border. The role requires three days per week in the territory for customer appointments, one to two home-office days per week, and travel of up to 60–80% by automobile or plane.

Salary: $145,471–$196,813 annual base salary in the U.S., excluding Puerto Rico.

What you will do

• Manage defined accounts and execute territory strategies for patient access and reimbursement in the Respiratory business unit.
• Provide one-on-one coverage support from physician order through reimbursement, including benefits investigation, prior authorization, appeals, denials, and claims resolution.
• Review patient-specific information and resolve coverage challenges while handling protected health information.
• Educate healthcare providers on commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid coverage, formulary requirements, utilization management, and insurance procedures.
• Coordinate reimbursement issues with HUBs and cross-functional partners, serving as the payer expert for the assigned geography.

Requirements

• Doctorate degree, or a qualifying combination of master's, bachelor's, associate's, or high school education with the required customer service or leadership experience.
• Experience directly managing people or leading teams, projects, programs, or resource allocation.
• At least two years of experience in public or private third-party access, managed care, clinical support, sales, or the pharmaceutical industry.
• Strong medical reimbursement, specialty pharmacy, and Buy & Bill knowledge, including billing, coding, appeals, insurance verification, and claims adjudication.
• Experience with commercial payers, Medicare plans, and state Medicaid in a geographic region, plus strong presentation, communication, organization, and project management skills.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and ability to travel up to 60–80% are required.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare, or a related field.
• Experience with specialty or biologic self-injectable products and physician-administered medical-benefit products.
• Advanced knowledge of medical insurance terminology and CMS policies, including Medicare Part B and Part D.
• Experience managing ambiguity, solving problems, and managing expenses within allocated budgets.
