Material Handler I

Panasonic Energy Corporation of North America manufactures cylindrical lithium-ion cells for electric vehicles and energy storage systems at its battery factory near Reno, Nevada, in collaboration with Tesla.

What you will do

• Move raw materials between production areas using manual and ride-on pallet jacks, lift trucks, and other mobile equipment.
• Transport in-process products throughout the assembly and production areas.
• Perform daily inspections, cleaning, and basic fluid checks on mobile equipment.
• Prepare and coordinate material-pulling and delivery schedules to support production flow.
• Track part numbers, lot numbers, delivery orders, lot-tracking sheets, and quality documentation.
• Communicate material status, damaged packaging, and equipment or material issues with coworkers directly or by two-way radio.

Requirements

• Must have working-level English reading, writing, and speaking skills.
• Previous experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, automation, or assembly environment is preferred.
• Ability to use manual pallet jacks, motorized pallet jacks, or lift trucks.
• Ability to recognize part and lot numbers longer than 10 characters, perform basic calculations, and count materials accurately.
• Familiarity with computer terminals, operator interface terminals, touch screens, and RF scanners is preferred.
• All candidates must have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with MES, LOTO, FIFO, and lot-number tracking.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• A safety-conscious attitude and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
