Supervisor Automation (Overnights)

Location: On-site in Rensselaer, New York, United States. Overnight shift: Tuesday–Saturday, 12:00 AM–8:30 AM. Training shift: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM for approximately six weeks.

What you will do

• Supervise, mentor, and develop Automation Technicians and contracted resources.
• Plan, coordinate, and schedule maintenance and repairs for automated systems.
• Coordinate automation issue resolution with Manufacturing and Facilities teams.
• Support maintenance, diagnosis, troubleshooting, and repair of automation equipment and systems.
• Support deviation management, investigation report reviews, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Work on the production floor in full cleanroom attire.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Engineering or a related field, plus 5+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience operating and maintaining automation equipment and systems.
• Working knowledge of Allen Bradley and/or Siemens PLCs, HMIs, and computerized systems.
• Leadership or supervisory experience with the ability to mentor others.
• Strong mechanical and electrical proficiency, critical thinking, communication, and technical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work for the full shift in a cleanroom, including bending, climbing, kneeling, standing, walking, and lifting, pushing, or pulling up to 50 lb.

Nice to have

• Experience in a pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical manufacturing facility.
• Basic understanding of data integrity regulations.
