Equipment Specialist Supervisor - Nights (Manufacturing)

Location: De Soto, Kansas, United States; onsite night-shift role

hirify.global produces lithium-ion batteries for electric vehicles and is expanding a large-scale battery manufacturing facility in Kansas.

What you will do

• Lead, schedule, coach, and develop Equipment Specialists across the night shift.
• Set daily priorities, allocate resources, and maintain equipment reliability, operational readiness, productivity, and manufacturing continuity.
• Monitor KPIs and performance data, remove operational barriers, and drive corrective actions and improvement initiatives.
• Partner with engineering, production, maintenance, quality, and operations leaders to resolve equipment escalations and improve manufacturing performance.
• Lead investigations and improvement work focused on safety, quality, equipment failures, defect reduction, and cost reduction.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, quality, lockout/tagout, documentation, training, and recordkeeping requirements.

Requirements

• Associate degree in electronic technology, mechatronics, industrial maintenance, manufacturing technology, engineering technology, business management, or a related field; relevant experience may substitute.
• At least 3 years of progressive leadership experience, or at least 2 years as a PECNA Equipment Specialist III.
• Experience leading technical, maintenance, manufacturing, engineering support, or operational teams.
• Knowledge of manufacturing operations, equipment reliability, troubleshooting, PDCA, Root Cause Analysis, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement.
• Proficiency with operational metrics, KPIs, Microsoft Office, MES, Tableau, and manufacturing support systems.
• Working-level English is required, and candidates must have valid authorization to work in the U.S. without restriction.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing technology, industrial technology, business management, or a related field.
• Five or more years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing, industrial maintenance, engineering support, or technical operations.
• Six Sigma Green Belt or higher, supervisory certification, or advanced Root Cause Analysis training.
• Experience with highly automated manufacturing environments, PLC-controlled equipment, automation systems, and organizational change.
