Summer Internship - Human Resources

Location: Herndon Area, Virginia, United States; 100% onsite

Salary: $24–$39.75 per hour, depending on degree program and year in school.

What you will do

• Support daily Human Resources operations across HR Operations, Recruitment, Talent & Development, Compensation & Benefits, and Employee Relations.
• Assist with employee engagement activities focused on leadership development.
• Support Environmental, Health and Safety engagement activities.
• Contribute to high-visibility HR projects, including onboarding, leadership development, and safety initiatives.
• Create written materials and other deliverables for business management and corporate leadership.
• Participate in regular check-ins, goal setting, and career feedback throughout the internship.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED and current enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program at an accredited college or university.
• Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related degree is preferred, with preference for students entering their final year.
• Must be able to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship or work authorization support.
• Must be able to work onsite 100% of the time in the Herndon, Virginia area.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity and professionalism.
• Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal, organizational, creative, and project management skills; ability to work independently and prioritize concurrent assignments.

Nice to have

• Office work environment experience.
• Experience with Workday or another HRIS system.
• Previous Human Resources experience.
