Summer Internship - Tooling & Repair (Aerospace)

Location: 100% onsite in Herndon, Virginia, for the Summer 2027 Internship Program from May 17 to August 6, 2027.

Salary: $24–$39.75 per hour, based on degree program and year in school.

hirify.global, through Satair, provides aerospace tooling, parts, ground support equipment, and related repair and customer services.

What you will do

• Support orders for the sale, lease, repair, exchange, and return of Airbus and vendor tools, proprietary parts, and ground support equipment.
• Coordinate with customers, suppliers, repair shops, and internal teams on order and tool-package processes.
• Support Unical integration and onboarding with the Satair repair team.
• Collect and analyze lessons learned and corrective actions for missed tool service opportunities.
• Help identify training opportunities and support digitalization across the team.
• Convert internal processes and work instructions into publishable documents and help evaluate and implement performance analytics dashboards.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED and current enrollment in a bachelor's or master's degree program at an accredited institution.
• Must be able to work onsite in Herndon, Virginia for the full internship.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.
• English proficiency is required for written and verbal communication.
• Strong organization, time management, coordination, cooperation, independence, and self-starting skills.
• Ability to work in an international context and use standard computer and business software.

Nice to have

• Studies in business administration, logistics, procurement, communications, manufacturing, engineering, data analytics, or a related field.
• Experience with Excel, Google Sheets, integrated business systems, or SAP.
• Problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of aircraft maintenance, airline operations, hand tools, power tools, machinery, or manufacturing equipment.
