Senior Data Engineer

Location: Onsite at the Bentonville Home Office, Bentonville, Arkansas, United States

Salary: $90,000–$180,000 annual base salary, plus performance-based bonuses and possible stock compensation.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and architectures for analytics and reporting.
• Integrate and transform data from internal sources while maintaining data quality and consistency.
• Develop and optimize logical and physical data models to improve accessibility and usability.
• Translate stakeholder requirements into scalable technical solutions aligned with data governance standards.
• Write, test, and deploy SQL and other code for data processing and analytics.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data systems for reliability, performance, and security.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in data engineering, database engineering, business intelligence, or business analytics.
• Extensive experience with data integration, modeling, and pipeline development.
• Proficiency in SQL and familiarity with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, Azure, or Google BigQuery.
• Knowledge of data governance, data quality standards, regulatory compliance, ETL, batch processing, and streaming ingestion.
• Experience analyzing complex data systems and coding, testing, and deploying data solutions.
• A relevant education and software engineering experience pathway: a bachelor's degree plus 3 years of experience, 5 years of related experience, or a master's degree plus 1 year of experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with ETL tools and large cloud datasets.
• Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field with 3 years of software engineering experience.
• Knowledge of WCAG 2.2 AA, assistive technologies, and digital accessibility practices.
