Data Engineer II - Snowflake, dbt, AWS (Data Engineering)

Salary: $126,500–$208,700 annual base salary, plus performance-based cash incentive eligibility.

What you will do

• Build, design, deploy, and operationalize complex data solutions and pipelines.
• Develop a unified analytics data layer that provides consistent claim data to downstream BI consumers across concurrent source platforms.
• Manage schema drift, field migrations, value mapping, data virtualization, and format normalization.
• Analyze data sources, recommend data cleansing and quality improvements, and apply transformations.
• Implement data governance, security, and quality practices while testing data movement and transformation code.
• Collaborate with engineering teams, business partners, and end users to deliver and support complex data products.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, a STEM-related field, or equivalent education and experience.
• At least four additional years of data engineering experience; the position also describes eight years of related experience.
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake, including views, streams, and other core platform features.
• Strong SQL skills and practical experience with dbt for data transformation, schema management, and pipeline development.
• Experience with data warehousing, multi-layer data architectures, data mapping, systems migration, and platform integration.
• Strong problem-solving, written communication, verbal communication, and collaboration skills.
