Staff Software Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Remote within the United States

Salary: $150,000–$178,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead software design and code reviews across the full application lifecycle.
• Build, debug, and maintain scalable full-stack web applications and reusable libraries.
• Champion API-first architecture with secure, scalable, and extensible REST integrations.
• Configure environments, monitor production health, and improve system performance.
• Lead on-call incident response, troubleshooting critical disruptions and minimizing downtime.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with developers, designers, administrators, product teams, customers, and vendors.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of related software development experience, or 6 years with an advanced degree.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong experience with Java or C#, React or Angular, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Experience with cloud-native infrastructure, Kubernetes, OpenTelemetry, production monitoring, and on-call rotations.
• Advanced knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases, caching, performance optimization, and automated testing.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States; employment sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in engineering, technology, or a related field.
• Experience with SaaS products in the technology or financial industries.
• Experience deploying applications on Amazon Web Services with Kubernetes.
• Experience with Flutter or other cross-platform mobile development frameworks.
