TL;DR
Process Engineer II (Manufacturing): Developing and improving manufacturing processes, equipment, and validation activities with an accent on Lean manufacturing, 5S, process stability, and cross-functional engineering. Focus on root cause analysis, equipment validation, tooling and fixturing, and improving efficiency, quality, and safety across manufacturing facilities.

Location: Santa Ana, California headquarters; onsite 5 days per week. Occasional travel to vendors and domestic and international hirify.global facilities is required.

Salary: $79,000–$106,000 per year

What you will do

  • Design and develop more efficient, stable, and higher-quality manufacturing processes with Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, Quality, and Engineering teams.
  • Validate and implement equipment, document standardized process steps, and deliver engineering presentations.
  • Perform root cause analysis and develop robust resolutions for manufacturing issues.
  • Identify and implement product, equipment, and process improvements across facilities.
  • Apply 5S and Lean manufacturing concepts to improve efficiency, quality, and safety.
  • Test parts and machines, prepare reports, and support equipment repairs, calibration verification, and maintenance activities.

Requirements

  • Four-year degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or a similar Engineering discipline.
  • 1–2 years of experience in high-volume manufacturing or industrial automation.
  • Experience with 5S, Lean, JIT, or Kaizen approaches and with equipment vendors and suppliers.
  • Familiarity with tooling design and fixturing, advanced Microsoft Excel or similar tools, and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, attention to detail, and ability to work in a deadline-sensitive environment.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States; employment eligibility is validated through e-Verify.

Nice to have

  • Experience with PLCs, especially Allen Bradley or Beckhoff.
  • Experience with ultrasonic plastics welding, injection molding, and machine vision hardware and software.
  • Familiarity with industrial safety standards and best practices.
  • Spanish or Japanese language skills.
