Location: Wright Patterson AFB, Ohio, USA; remote work available, with occasional in-person work at a Booz Allen or customer facility

What you will do

• Establish behavioral and functional equivalence between refactored and original legacy software.
• Define verification and validation testing strategies before significant refactoring.
• Plan and oversee unit and integration test execution.
• Identify systemic deficiencies in tests proposed by software developers.
• Implement and document automated regression testing supporting ATO requirements.
• Lead testing activities and contribute to scalable software solutions.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience with legacy software equivalence testing.
• Experience with automated testing in C++, Java, or Python, including JUnit, PyTest, REST, and API testing tools.
• Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, mathematics, or science.
• Ability to work in the United States at the Wright Patterson AFB location when in-person work is required.

Nice to have

• Experience testing distributed systems, asynchronous messaging, and service failures.
• Experience with performance, code coverage, and security testing tools.
• Experience using AI/ML-assisted test generation, prioritization, anomaly detection, or test-data analysis with human validation.
• Experience linking test evidence to MBSE models.
• Master’s degree in engineering, mathematics, or science.
