Strategic Buyer, Advanced Manufacturing

Location: Chandler, Arizona, United States; 100% onsite, Monday through Friday; travel up to 25%. U.S. citizenship is required due to U.S. Government contract requirements.

What you will do

• Own procurement and commercial execution for capital equipment, automation, equipment upgrades, prototypes, engineered assemblies, and advanced-manufacturing investments.
• Lead RFP/RFQ development, bid analysis, supplier evaluation, selection, negotiations, purchase orders, and implementation activities.
• Manage equipment integrators and specialized OEMs through design, assembly, delivery, installation, commissioning, and acceptance.
• Drive project milestones, supplier deliverables, schedule recovery, scope management, change control, cost impacts, risk mitigation, and escalation.
• Coordinate FAT/SAT activities and ensure contractual, technical, safety, quality, and operational requirements are met.
• Monitor supplier performance, develop cost and total-cost-of-ownership recommendations, and provide project and risk updates to stakeholders and executives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in any field.
• Typically 5–7 years of experience in advanced-manufacturing procurement, capital-equipment buying, project procurement, strategic sourcing, or related manufacturing programs.
• Experience purchasing capital equipment or custom engineered, prototype, or engineered-to-order solutions in a complex manufacturing environment.
• Experience leading RFQs, supplier negotiations, supplier selection, purchasing execution, project milestones, deliverables, schedule risks, and corrective actions.
• Strong commercial, supplier-performance, risk-management, data-analysis, communication, and cross-functional influence skills, including Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
• U.S. citizenship is required, and the role must be performed 100% onsite in Chandler, Arizona, Monday through Friday.

Nice to have

• Experience with automation suppliers, robotics, sensors, production machinery, equipment installations, facility stand-up, or production-line expansion.
• Familiarity with FAT/SAT, SOW creation, BOM management, MRO and spare-parts planning, and change-order management.
• Experience in aerospace, defense, or another highly regulated manufacturing environment; knowledge of AS9100 or similar quality systems.
• Experience with ERP/MRP or procurement systems, Oracle, Power BI, Tableau, or Oracle Analytics.
