Functional Validation Intern, BS - Summer 2027 (Hardware Validation)

Expected base pay: $28–$56 per hour, plus eligibility for bonus and equity plans.

What you will do

• Support functional hardware validation and debugging for platforms using PCIe, CXL, Ethernet, and other high-speed interfaces.
• Run system bring-up test cases, collect data, and document results with guidance from senior engineers.
• Write and execute Python, C, or similar automation scripts for silicon testing and validation workflows.
• Use oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and other lab equipment for signal integrity analysis and system debugging.
• Collaborate with design, firmware, and validation teams to reproduce issues and contribute to root-cause analysis.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or a related field, with expected graduation from Fall 2027 through Summer 2028.
• Basic understanding of digital logic, computer architecture, or hardware design through coursework or personal projects.
• Familiarity with Python, C, or a similar scripting or programming language.
• Ability to work in a hands-on hardware lab and willingness to learn standard lab equipment.
• Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills.
• Eligibility to access export-controlled technology and software under applicable U.S. regulations may be required.

Nice to have

• Coursework or project experience with PCIe, Ethernet, USB, or similar high-speed protocols.
• Exposure to hardware bring-up, FPGA/ASIC design, or embedded systems.
• Experience with Git and basic Linux/Unix environments.
