Program Coordinator I (Engineering Education)

Location: Prairie View, Texas, United States; onsite role with campus, school, career fair, and community event attendance

What you will do

• Plan, organize, and manage College of Engineering summer camps, including Girls Techno Summer Camp.
• Coordinate student competitions, hackathons, recruitment events, and large-scale outreach programs.
• Plan and deliver K-12 events, school visits, STEM nights, career fairs, and community activities.
• Coordinate tours of engineering facilities for prospective students, parents, educators, and VIP guests.
• Design and update brochures, flyers, email campaigns, presentations, and promotional merchandise.
• Collect and analyze outreach, recruitment, and student-success data, including post-event photos and reporting materials.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• At least two years of related work experience.
• Knowledge of word-processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
• Employment may be affected if H-1B sponsorship is required; the university will not pay the referenced H-1B fee.

Nice to have

• Three years of related experience, including communications or administrative office work.
