Corporate Strategic Development Director (Defense & Aerospace)

What you will do

• Act as a strategic and execution partner to the CEO, C-Suite, and executive leadership team.
• Translate corporate and Board priorities into workplans, milestones, dashboards, decision points, and measurable outcomes.
• Prepare executive, Board, lender, advisor, and strategic-planning materials, including analyses, presentations, and decision memoranda.
• Support acquisition screening, target evaluation, financial modeling, valuation, diligence, transaction approvals, and closing activities.
• Coordinate post-close integration plans, workstreams, reporting routines, risk tracking, and value-creation measurement.
• Support international growth with allied nations and customers, including export-control, sanctions, political, regulatory, and partner-risk assessments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business, engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in corporate development, investment banking, strategic finance, management consulting, transaction advisory, or a related role.
• Experience in aerospace, defense, government contracting, cybersecurity, intelligence, space, autonomy, robotics, communications, sensing, or related technology markets.
• Strong financial modeling, valuation, analytical, project-management, communication, and executive-materials preparation skills.
• Experience supporting M&A transactions, due diligence, acquisitions, integration, strategic planning, and post-close value creation.
• Willingness to travel periodically for company meetings, target discussions, diligence, integration activities, and Board or advisor meetings.

Nice to have

• MBA, CFA, or similar advanced training.
• Experience with post-merger integration, enterprise value creation, rapid scaling, or multiple acquisitions.
• Familiarity with FAR, DFARS, CFIUS, ITAR, classified programs, facility and personnel security, contract novations, intellectual property, and organizational conflicts of interest.
• Experience with Dynamics, Salesforce, or other pipeline tools.
• Experience in advanced manufacturing, electronics, or complex hardware/software businesses.
