Sr. Director, Corporate Development and M&A (Fintech)

Location: US - New York, NY; hybrid position with expected office days confirmed by the hiring manager. The role is performed in an office setting and requires some travel.

Salary: $217,600–$348,300 USD per year, with potential bonus, equity, and sales incentive payments where applicable.

What you will do

• Identify industry trends, strategic opportunities, and potential acquisitions across hirify.global’s geographies and business units.
• Lead the evaluation, structuring, negotiation, and execution of mergers, acquisitions, investments, and joint ventures.
• Build valuation analyses, financial models, synergy analyses, and business cases for prospective transactions.
• Manage detailed diligence processes with internal teams and external advisors, prioritizing critical findings and risks.
• Maintain deal pipelines, market outreach, and relationships with investment banks, private equity firms, venture capital firms, and partner companies.
• Influence executive stakeholders, coordinate cross-functional teams, and mentor junior team members.

Requirements

• 12+ years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree, or 10+ years with an advanced degree, or 5+ years with a PhD.
• Preferred: 15+ years with a Bachelor’s Degree, 12+ years with an advanced degree, or 9+ years with a PhD.
• Strong financial acumen and experience in financial modeling, valuation, and synergy analysis.
• Experience leading M&A transactions from idea generation through due diligence and negotiations.
• Background in corporate development, investment banking, or private equity, with understanding of payments, fintech, or technology sectors and U.S. and international experience.
• Ability to influence executives, manage cross-functional teams, lead multiple transactions, and develop junior talent.
