Cloud Networking & Infrastructure Developer (AWS)

Location: Hybrid from an hirify.global office in Atlanta, GA; Cedar Rapids, IA; Lake Saint Louis, MO; or Mandan, ND. Minimum three days per week in the office, including Tuesday and Wednesday.

What you will do

• Build KPI dashboards for networking and application response-time SLAs.
• Design and develop low-latency infrastructure for distributed systems, hybrid-cloud networks, and containerized network topologies.
• Manage vendor relationships and contribute to internet connectivity strategy.
• Automate network patching, advise on vulnerability remediation, and perform compliance audits.
• Develop maintenance plans, document procedures and knowledge-base content, and coordinate cross-team impacts.
• Manage public-cloud resource costs, participate in on-call rotations, and mentor team members as needed.

Requirements

• 1–5 years of experience in networking, cloud infrastructure, systems administration, software development, or a related technical field.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, ARP, NTP, OSPF, BGP, VPNs, routing, switching, and network security fundamentals.
• Working knowledge of Linux and command-line administration, plus scripting or application development with Python, Java, PowerShell, or another programming language.
• Familiarity with infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform or Ansible, public-cloud networking preferably with AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Understanding of high availability, redundancy, load balancing, disaster recovery, monitoring, logging, observability, firewalls, and network segmentation.
• Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, networking, computer science, computer information systems, a business-related field, or equivalent experience; ability to travel as necessary.

• Experience with Palo Alto Networks, SonicWall, Arista Networks, Extreme Networks, or similar platforms.
