Electrical Inspector

Location: Houston, TX (TAS-Cullen HQ). The role requires visiting TAS sites and is primarily performed onsite, with 80%–95% desk-based work.

What you will do

• Inspect electrical assemblies, including wiring, panels, and equipment, across TAS sites.
• Verify compliance with the NEC, IEC, local ordinances, approved specifications, and other applicable requirements.
• Review electrical drawings, plans, and specifications before and during assembly.
• Identify faulty wiring, incorrect materials, unsafe work, and other nonconformances; issue findings and halt nonconforming work when necessary.
• Prepare technical and inspection reports, maintain records, and verify that final inspections are completed before project closeout.
• Support TAS personnel with technical guidance and contribute to quality management system administration and internal audits.

Requirements

• 2–5 years of electrical inspection or journeyman-level electrical experience.
• International Code Council Electrical Inspector certification or equivalent.
• High school diploma/GED with specialized training.
• Working knowledge of NEC/IEC requirements and electrical code compliance.
• Strong communication, attention to detail, problem-solving, time management, and data analysis skills.
• Ability to collaborate with junior employees, manage team dynamics, and produce high-quality results autonomously.

Nice to have

• ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 3834-3, AISC 207-20, or NEC training.
• At least two years as a licensed Journeyman or Master Electrician.
