Oracle Database Engineer

Location: Onsite at a Huntington corporate office; Columbus, Ohio is listed. Applicants must be currently authorized to work full-time in the United States.

Salary: $57,000–$113,000 annual base salary, plus eligibility for applicable incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Automate and script Oracle database activities and administration projects.
• Maintain database performance, availability, and service-level objectives.
• Provide production support, troubleshoot issues, document tickets, and communicate with customers and vendors.
• Support Oracle DBMS releases, installations, feature implementation, high availability, disaster recovery, and security initiatives.
• Collaborate with development, operations, and non-technical stakeholders on complex business efforts.
• Provide technical leadership and promote automation and efficiency across technology platforms.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline, or five or more additional years of equivalent experience.
• 3–5+ years of experience as an Oracle Database Administrator.
• Advanced knowledge of Oracle 19c or later, SQL optimization, Unix servers, and Unix scripting with KSH or Bash.
• Experience with Oracle Server security, database security practices, role-based access control, and Data Guard.
• Current authorization to work full-time in the United States; immigration sponsorship is not available.
• Ability to lead across teams, collaborate effectively, and understand business drivers and technology challenges.

Nice to have

• Professional experience with RAC and Exadata.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code and Desired State Configuration.
• Experience working as a programmer or coder.
• Exposure to storage, network, operating system, and database technology stacks.
