Oracle Database Administrator (Data Engineer) (Oracle RAC/OCI)

Location: Hybrid, with locations in Vienna, Virginia and Winchester, Virginia, United States. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.

Salary: $78,400–$123,200 annually

What you will do

• Install, configure, upgrade, migrate, and support high-availability Oracle RAC databases on IBM AIX.
• Provision, migrate, optimize, and operate enterprise Oracle databases in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
• Design, maintain, and test Oracle Data Guard physical standby environments for failover and zero data loss.
• Implement TLS 1.2 network encryption and advanced database security controls.
• Execute quarterly Oracle Critical Patch Updates using Oracle Fleet Maintenance and OEM automation.
• Automate provisioning, backups, health checks, monitoring, and incident workflows using Ansible and Shell, including 24/7 on-call support.

Requirements

• 2–5 years of Oracle Database Administrator experience, including Oracle RAC administration on AIX.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure or a similar cloud platform.
• Experience implementing and supporting Oracle multitenant architecture databases.
• Advanced automation scripting skills and significant experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager and Oracle Fleet Maintenance.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, communication, and presentation skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or equivalent education and experience.
