Personal Injury Claims Examiner

Location: Tampa, FL, United States; complete in-office training followed by 80% on-site and 20% off-site work

Salary: $47,150–$72,775 annually, plus shift differentials and potential bonuses

What you will do

• Guide policyholders through the medical aspects of auto insurance claims.
• Investigate medical necessity and determine casualty.
• Evaluate the validity of personal injury insurance claims.
• Monitor case files throughout the treatment process.
• Consult with customers, other carriers, attorneys, and medical providers.
• Secure medical information and review contracts, reports, and billing documentation while resolving customer concerns.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; a college degree is preferred.
• Strong customer service, interpersonal, problem-solving, empathy, adaptability, and organizational skills.
• Ability to prioritize and multitask across multiple platforms.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Customer-facing claims experience and high-volume call center experience with KPIs are preferred.
• Active adjuster license is preferred; licensing and exam fees are provided.
