Senior Frontend Developer (React)

Location: Hybrid at a facility in Tacoma, Washington, United States

What you will do

• Develop and maintain React-based web applications for cloud-based command and control software.
• Work with system operators to gather feedback, ideate solutions, and rapidly prototype feature modifications.
• Build reusable component libraries and contribute to a shared codebase.
• Write high-quality code and participate in requirements, design, development, testing, deployment, and code reviews.
• Collaborate with developers, designers, testers, project managers, product managers, project sponsors, and partner capability providers.
• Communicate estimates and progress while contributing to an agile, iterative development process.

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional frontend or UI development experience, including 5+ years with React; 5+ years may qualify with a STEM bachelor's degree.
• Strong JavaScript, TypeScript, advanced CSS, and HTML skills, with experience building organized, accessible, and performant applications.
• Understanding of application architecture, asynchronous programming, closures, types, and ES6.
• Experience with WebGL-based libraries such as ThreeJS, Deck.gl, or Mapbox GL JS, plus CSS-in-JS solutions such as Styled Components or Emotion.
• Experience with Git, collaborative development workflows, and build and test tools such as Jest, Rollup, Webpack, and Babel.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and currently hold an active Secret or Top Secret U.S. national security clearance, or be able to obtain and maintain one.

Nice to have

• Experience mentoring development teams and leading Agile ceremonies.
• DevOps or web application deployment experience.
• Experience working in secure facilities or directly with mission operators.
• GIS experience, React dependency auditing, or state management with Redux or React Context API.
• Portfolio of past projects and willingness to travel up to 5% as needed.
