Senior Analyst/Assistant Manager Accounting

Location: Fort Worth, Texas, United States; full-time hybrid schedule with one remote workday per week. Relocation assistance may be available based on business needs.

Salary: $72,200–$104,000 annually, depending on experience.

What you will do

• Account for and forecast revenue-related balance sheet accounts.
• Ensure accurate and timely reporting of revenue-related reserves.
• Manage income statement lines related to storage and demurrage.
• Prepare quarterly and annual Accounts Receivable footnotes and revenue-related R-1 reports.
• Partner with stakeholders and work directly with external auditors on revenue-related audit items.
• Identify, recommend, and implement process improvements.

Requirements

• Must be able to work in the United States without BNSF sponsorship or assistance for employment authorization.
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or a related field.
• At least one year of experience with BNSF or another company’s accounting department.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Ability to research accounting and reporting issues and recommend appropriate accounting treatment.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, prioritization, and project management skills.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in accounting or business administration.
• At least two years of accounting experience.
• Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license.
• Public accounting experience.
