TL;DR
Health Information Retrieval Operations Manager (AI): Coordinating medical record retrieval and external audit operations with an accent on healthcare data management, performance dashboards, and regulatory audit standards. Focus on building AI-native KPI monitoring, improving EHR and provider-record access, resolving retrieval discrepancies, and standardizing operational processes.

Location: Fully remote within the 50 U.S. states; preference for residence in the Greater Boston Area. Standard working hours are in Eastern Time, and semi-annual travel to a Devoted office may be required for on-site work.

Salary: $73,000–$125,000 annually

What you will do

  • Oversee and coordinate medical chart retrieval across multiple methods and initiatives.
  • Manage performance metrics and dashboards, including AI-native monitoring of program-wide KPIs and operational reporting to leadership.
  • Support EHR access, provider-record requests, and provider attestation processes.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies in medical record retrieval efforts.
  • Collaborate with Clinical Data Acquisition, Network, External Audit Program, and other internal teams to facilitate data exchange and improve processes.
  • Standardize and document operational procedures across retrieval and audit activities.

Requirements

  • Experience in healthcare operations management, medical record retrieval, and audit preparation.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret regulatory requirements and audit standards.
  • Experience managing performance metrics and dashboards, evaluating automation opportunities, and driving process improvements.
  • Project management experience with multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Proficiency with EHR systems, healthcare data platforms, spreadsheets, and preferably database query tools.
  • Must be located within the 50 U.S. states and able to work standard Eastern Time hours.

Nice to have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
  • Familiarity with CMS regulations, Medicare Advantage, and RADV audit processes.
