Head of US Middle Office

Location: Chicago, United States; hybrid

Salary: USD 180,000–210,000 yearly, plus eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Lead and govern post-trade operational functions supporting the investment lifecycle across global markets and products.
• Oversee trade processing, settlement, funding and fail management, market claims, and trade controls.
• Manage derivatives lifecycle events, margin and collateral operations, UMR compliance, OTC pricing, and clearing oversight.
• Govern cash, position, transaction, derivative, and collateral reconciliations, including exception resolution.
• Oversee corporate actions, asset servicing, vendor and broker relationships, SLAs, KPIs, and service escalations.
• Drive operational risk management, audit readiness, control enhancements, workflow automation, monitoring, dashboards, and data quality initiatives.

Requirements

• 12–15+ years of experience in investment operations, middle office, or post-trade operations.
• Deep expertise in trade services, settlements, derivatives, collateral management, reconciliations, corporate actions, and outsourced operating models.
• Experience leading multiple operational disciplines through managers and senior team leads.
• Proven record managing operational risk, controls, regulatory audits, and strategic transformation initiatives.
• Strong knowledge of fixed income, equities, ETFs, FX, derivatives, custody, fund operating models, post-trade data governance, and exception management.
• Ability to work in a hybrid role based in Chicago, United States.
