Head of Multi-Manager Investment Solutions

Location: Chicago, IL, United States. Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without employment-based visa sponsorship.

Salary: $205,700–$360,100 USD base pay annually, plus a discretionary bonus program that may include equity.

What you will do

• Serve as the senior investment authority for the multi-manager platform and oversee external manager selection.
• Govern the full manager lifecycle, including sourcing, screening, evaluation, committee recommendations, onboarding, monitoring, and watchlist management.
• Set research priorities and refine frameworks covering investment process, portfolio construction, performance, risk, fees, organizational stability, and operational resilience.
• Direct a research agenda involving more than 750 manager meetings annually and make disciplined hiring and termination decisions.
• Translate manager research into investment guidance for OCIO portfolios, Wealth Management platforms, and multi-manager funds.
• Lead and develop a globally distributed team of investment research and operational due-diligence professionals.

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience in multi-manager investing, manager research, OCIO, investment consulting, or institutional asset allocation with senior investment leadership responsibility.
• Deep knowledge of public and private markets, portfolio construction, manager evaluation, and risk management across asset classes.
• Experience leading investment governance and committee-based decision processes.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presentations to senior investment committees, boards, and sophisticated clients.
• Bachelor’s degree required; an advanced degree and CFA charter are strongly preferred.
• U.S. work authorization is required; visa sponsorship is not available.
