CNC Centerless Grinding - Second Shift (Aerospace) (Precision Grinding): Operating CNC centerless grinding machines to produce aerospace and defense components according to blueprints and engineering specifications with an accent on tight inside- and outside-diameter tolerances. Focus on machine setup, precision measurement, tooling selection, finished-part inspection, and correcting machining issues in a manufacturing environment.
Location: Burbank, California, United States; onsite, second shift
Salary: $29.39–$37.29 per hour for Precision Grinder Level I or $36.28–$46.89 per hour for Precision Grinder Level II. Second-shift openings include a 10% shift differential after first-shift training is completed.

What you will do
- Set up and adjust precision grinding machines according to product specifications.
- Study blueprints, work orders, and machining instructions to determine tooling and operating sequences.
- Select, mount, and position tooling in chucks, spindles, centers, and other holding devices.
- Operate centerless grinding and related equipment to grind, deburr, sharpen, buff, or polish parts.
- Measure and inspect finished work pieces using gauges, micrometers, and other precision instruments.
- Monitor machine operations and make adjustments to correct issues and maintain specification compliance.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in centerless grinding.
- Working knowledge of precision grinding in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Experience with centerless and inside-diameter/outside-diameter grinding.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Only US persons will be considered where access to controlled data or information is required under ITAR.
- Ability to lift, push, and position objects weighing up to 40 pounds and work overtime when necessary.
Nice to have
- Experience operating Cincinnati manual centerless grinding machines.
