Staff Software Engineer (AR)

Location: Bellevue, Washington, United States; partial telecommuting permitted within the US

Salary: $200,000–$260,000 per year

What you will do

• Research, design, and develop software and specialized utility programs for AR technology.
• Build reliable, high-throughput, low-latency, and scalable server and networking systems.
• Develop platform components that enable developers to create rich game experiences.
• Perform load testing, participate in code reviews, write unit tests, and troubleshoot live systems.
• Architect and integrate sophisticated systems with external partners.
• Develop long-term technical strategy and collaborate with engineering, design, production, business, art, and marketing teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
• Three years of experience as a Software Engineer, Software Developer, or in a related occupation.
• Experience with object-oriented programming languages, data structures, algorithms, and software system architecture.
• Experience with database design, querying, and indexing for SQL or NoSQL databases.
• Experience with web frameworks and cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP.
• May lead or supervise junior team members.
