Vehicle Maintenance Technician Internship - 2027

Location: Florence, South Carolina, or Charlotte, North Carolina; work takes place in garages and field locations in the United States.

What you will do

• Perform preventative maintenance inspections on light- and medium-duty vehicles and equipment.
• Assist senior technicians with inspections, diagnostics, and repairs across utility vehicles, trailers, and off-road equipment.
• Perform diagnostics and basic repairs on hydraulic brake, air brake, electrical, charging, lighting, and starting systems.
• Assist with Federal DOT and dielectric test inspections while following Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
• Work in garage and field locations according to business needs and work schedules.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a two-year Automotive Technology or related degree program.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Must not graduate before May 2027.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employment-based immigration sponsorship now or in the future.
• Must be able to work in garage and field environments, stand and walk on concrete for extended periods, tolerate noise, fumes, dust, and heights, and lift or push up to 100 pounds.
