Sr. General HR Consultant (Temporary)

Location: Richmond, Virginia, United States; hybrid with an average of 3 days per week in the office

What you will do

• Support workforce planning, organizational changes, people programs, and site-level HR initiatives.
• Lead full-cycle recruitment for assigned positions, including hourly roles, candidate sourcing, screening, interviews, offers, and pre-employment activities.
• Build talent pipelines through networking, referrals, workforce development organizations, technical schools, military programs, and community partnerships.
• Coordinate onboarding, transfers, promotions, internal mobility, offboarding, employee communications, and HR process administration.
• Maintain HR documentation, workforce reports, metrics, HR data, and process guides while supporting audits and governance activities.
• Partner with managers, People Partners, Employee Relations, Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, and other PPC specialists.

Requirements

• Solid experience in Human Resources across areas such as recruitment, onboarding, workforce administration, employee lifecycle processes, HR operations, or people programs.
• Experience supporting manufacturing, industrial, logistics, supply chain, distribution, or other operational environments.
• Knowledge of HR practices, employment laws, and compliance requirements.
• Experience with HRIS, Applicant Tracking Systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
• Availability for a hybrid work model requiring an average of 3 days per week in the office in Richmond, Virginia.

Nice to have

• Manufacturing or industrial operations experience.
• Experience in a startup, greenfield, or rapid-growth environment.
• Experience with high-volume hourly recruitment, technical hiring, workforce planning, and HR operations.
• Experience with Workday Recruiting and Workday HR systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
