Assurance Manager (Real Estate)

Location: Hybrid; San Francisco, California, USA. The position is also compensated under location-specific ranges for Walnut Creek and Santa Rosa, California.

Salary: $117,000–$174,700 in San Francisco, CA; $112,500–$168,000 in Walnut Creek, CA; $103,500–$154,500 in Santa Rosa, CA.

What you will do

• Provide assurance and consulting services to real estate clients as a trusted engagement-team advisor.
• Engage with clients throughout the year to understand business goals and challenges.
• Test internal controls, identify deficiencies, recommend improvements, and provide financial statement guidance.
• Manage fieldwork, quality, timely delivery, staffing, billing, collections, and client profitability targets.
• Build internal, client, and community relationships and contribute to business growth.
• Mentor and coach associates, support their professional development, and participate in firm-wide learning programs.

Requirements

• Four-year degree and CPA certification.
• At least five years of experience.
• Demonstrated management, analytical, organizational, interpersonal, project management, and communication skills.
• Ability to lead and supervise others, provide exceptional client service, maintain ethical standards, stay current with applicable strategies, see both the big picture and details, and deliver quality work on time.
• Highly developed software and Microsoft Suite skills.
• Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s, master’s, or advanced degree in accounting.
• Five or more years of financial statement auditing experience in a public accounting firm.
• Real estate industry experience.
• Two or more years of supervisory experience mentoring and counseling associates.
