Senior Manager, Global Technology User Experience Design (AI)

Location: On-site in the greater Seattle, WA area, at Downtown Seattle, Federal Way, Lynnwood, or Bellevue (Factoria). Candidates must be local or willing to relocate. Relocation assistance is not offered. Applicants must be eligible to work lawfully in the U.S.; visa sponsorship and U.S. work authorization transfer are not available.

Base salary: $100,000 annually. Eligible for discretionary quarterly performance bonuses; historical total annual compensation for some employees has reached $236,000 or more including bonuses.

What you will do

• Lead, coach, hire, and develop a centralized UX team of six to eight designers.
• Own UX intake, capacity planning, allocation, demand prioritization, and resource trade-offs across multiple product teams.
• Embed UX in product discovery and delivery, partnering with Technical Product Managers, Engineering, and business stakeholders.
• Establish design critiques, shared standards, accessibility practices, and adoption of the GUIDE design system.
• Define responsible AI practices, guardrails, and tooling across research, ideation, UX writing, prototyping, and design handoff.
• Represent UX in planning and portfolio forums while supporting budget, vendor, and headcount planning.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Design, HCI, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience managing or leading designers, including coaching, feedback, performance management, and career development.
• Deep UX experience across user research, interaction design, information architecture, visual/UI design, accessibility, and design systems.
• Experience managing capacity, allocation, or resourcing across multiple teams, projects, products, platforms, or services.
• Experience applying AI to design work and defining responsible AI practices that balance speed, quality, craft, and accessibility.
• Fluency with Figma, Azure DevOps/Boards, GUIDE or similar design systems, Storybook, and Microsoft 365.

Nice to have

• Experience in logistics, supply chain, or another complex enterprise or mission-critical domain.
