Staff Engineering Manager (Set Registry)

What you will do

• Lead the engineering team responsible for PSA Set Registry, a consumer-facing product used by hundreds of thousands of registered sets.
• Drive software design, development, and delivery from concept through production release for public-facing web and mobile applications.
• Partner with Product, Design, and cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Oversee architecture decisions, code reviews, the software development lifecycle, and release management.
• Mentor and develop software engineers while promoting collaboration, agile practices, code quality, and continuous learning.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues, provide hands-on technical guidance, and shape long-term technical strategy.

Requirements

• Experience as an engineering manager or technical lead delivering software projects and growing engineering teams.
• 10+ years of experience architecting service-oriented, event-driven, distributed, and cloud systems, plus hands-on API development.
• 5+ years building solutions with AWS technologies including Lambda, SQS, SNS, EventBridge, and API Gateway.
• Proficiency in Python and experience with relational and NoSQL databases, including PostgreSQL and DynamoDB.
• Experience with infrastructure as code such as CDK, CloudFormation, or Terraform.
• Ability to work legally in the United States, validated through e-Verify.

Nice to have

• Experience with strongly typed languages such as C# or Java.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum and client-side frameworks such as Vue, React, or Svelte.
