TL;DR

Location: Onsite at Ardent - Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma; limited to individuals residing and authorized to work in the United States

Salary: $20.45–$22.50 per hour, depending on experience

What you will do

  • Review uninsured and under-insured patient referrals to identify Medicaid and financial assistance eligibility opportunities.
  • Coordinate applications and communicate with patients to collect required documentation.
  • Track submitted applications through determination and update insurance information.
  • Ensure timely billing or financial assistance adjustments and document actions in patient accounting systems.
  • Maintain knowledge of state and federal program requirements and collaborate with Medicaid caseworkers and revenue cycle departments.

Requirements

  • 1–2 years of healthcare experience involving patient financial issues.
  • High school diploma or GED; relevant post-secondary education and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Understanding of revenue cycle processes, including admissions, billing, payments, and denials.
  • Knowledge of insurance requirements, authorizations, benefits verification, medical terminology, or CPT and procedure codes.
  • Must reside in and be authorized to work in the United States.
  • Must be open to innovation, including the use of AI to improve processes and patient and client experiences.

Nice to have

  • Patient Access experience with managed care or insurance.
  • Call center experience.
