Senior Technical Business Analyst

Location: Herndon, Virginia, United States; hybrid attendance required once per quarter. U.S. Citizenship is required, and the candidate must be able to obtain TSA Public Trust clearance.

What you will do

• Lead the elicitation, analysis, validation, prioritization, and management of business and technical requirements.
• Translate business needs into user stories, functional and non-functional requirements, acceptance criteria, process flows, use cases, and technical specifications.
• Analyze current- and future-state processes, workflows, dependencies, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
• Work with Agile teams throughout the SDLC, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, release planning, and requirements clarification.
• Maintain business, functional, technical, process, and user documentation in Confluence and create Jira work items.
• Support test scenario development, QA collaboration, UAT, defect analysis, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least six years of experience in business analysis, technical analysis, systems analysis, or software delivery.
• Demonstrated experience with requirements management, business process analysis, stakeholder facilitation, and Agile software development.
• Experience using Jira and Confluence, with a strong understanding of the SDLC.
• Technical or software development exposure to React, Node, GitLab, and AWS cloud environments.
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain TSA Public Trust clearance are required.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting federal government software development programs and enterprise modernization efforts.
• Experience with legacy application modernization, REST APIs, system integrations, databases, cloud-native applications, data mapping, or data modeling.
• Experience with wireframes, mockups, process models, workflow diagrams, UAT, production implementation, or customer application support.
• Familiarity with DevSecOps, CI/CD, SAFe, Lean, Kanban, or business analysis certifications.
