Amazon Connect Principal Consultant

Location: Remote, London, England. Applicants must have the permanent right to work in the United Kingdom; visa sponsorship is not available.

What you will do

• Design and implement Amazon Connect contact flows, routing logic, IVR, and voice and digital channel solutions.
• Build serverless integrations with AWS Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, Kinesis, and backend systems such as Pega CRM and internal APIs.
• Implement infrastructure as code and CI/CD-driven deployments using Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Support Amazon Connect rollouts from pilot deployments to programmes spanning more than 80 countries and 40 languages.
• Contribute to workforce management delivery, forecasting, scheduling, capacity planning, and reporting integrations.
• Provide technical guidance in design workshops, architecture decisions, sprint ceremonies, solution reviews, and knowledge transfer.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
• At least 5 years of hands-on software development or cloud engineering experience.
• Multiple enterprise Amazon Connect implementations covering design, integrations, routing, telephony, and production support.
• Production experience with Python or Node.js and AWS services including Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, CloudWatch, IAM, CloudFormation, or Terraform.
• Experience with REST APIs, CRM or backend integrations, CI/CD pipelines, Git, and infrastructure as code.
• Permanent right to work in the United Kingdom is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Contact Lens, Lex, telephony, number porting, and workforce management solutions.
• AWS Solutions Architect certification.
• Multi-language and multi-country enterprise deployment experience.
• Experience with AWS Professional Services, system integrators, specialist contact centre consultancies, Pega CRM, or Salesforce Service Cloud Voice.
• Experience in regulated industries such as financial services, travel, or hospitality.
