TL;DR
Deputy Head of Training (Aviation): Overseeing aviation training center operations, standards, quality, and regulatory compliance with an accent on standardized program delivery, operational risk management, and customer satisfaction. Focus on resolving complex training-quality issues, implementing corrective and remedial plans, maintaining instructor currency, and coordinating with cross-functional teams.

Location: Montreal (St. Laurent); ability to work primarily from either the Dallas, Texas or New Jersey training facility

What you will do

  • Represent the Head of Training and oversee training delivery at assigned training centers.
  • Manage operational data, identify risks and opportunities, and support training-program improvements and change initiatives.
  • Monitor training quality, standards, regulatory requirements, and implementation of corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with Standards, Quality, Regulatory, and local training teams to maintain consistency across the hirify.global network.
  • Support new training programs, recommend remedial plans, and maintain instructor currency in at least one assigned aircraft model.
  • Manage customer feedback and relationships while participating in client training activities for approximately 10% of working time.

Requirements

  • Professional pilot license, former professional pilot license, or equivalent aviation operational experience.
  • Experience in aviation training management, aviation operations management, or a related regulated aviation environment.
  • Working knowledge of aviation regulatory authorities and applicable regulations.
  • Ability to manage complex operational and training issues, make decisions independently, and collaborate across multiple functions.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office, collaboration tools, and internet-based systems.
  • Ability to work primarily from the Dallas, Texas or New Jersey training facility; physical ability to sit, stand, use computer and telecommunications equipment for extended periods, lift up to 15 lbs. (6.8 kg), and occasionally stoop or squat.

  • Current instructor qualification and examiner credentials.
  • Experience with training standards, quality assurance, regulatory compliance, change management, and aviation program development.
  • Experience analyzing operational data and influencing stakeholders in a matrixed organization.
