Lead Software Architect (AI)

Location: United Kingdom - Southampton; hybrid

What you will do

• Own the architecture, design, AI-led implementation, and validation of cloud-based, multi-threaded, multi-server applications.
• Lead collaborative decisions on architectural direction and ensure adherence to architecture standards.
• Balance security, scalability, compatibility, maintainability, and responsible AI use across build-time and run-time systems.
• Test implementations, fix defects, and help resolve customer support cases.
• Mentor team members in architecture practices, AI-led delivery, and validation of AI outputs.
• Collaborate with Product Management during planning sessions.

Requirements

• Solid experience developing applications in C# with Visual Studio or Visual Studio Code.
• Experience designing secure, scalable, resilient systems from complex market requirements and working with multi-tenant cloud solutions.
• Knowledge of network security, authentication, authorization, SOLID principles, RESTful APIs, and API extensibility.
• Experience with databases using Entity Framework or similar technologies.
• Experience with unit testing, code reviews, source control, and collaborative multidisciplinary teams.
• Recent daily practical experience with AI tooling such as Copilot, Claude Code, Codex, or equivalent is required.

• Experience using AI tooling for design reviews, ADR drafting, threat modeling, or contract design.
• Familiarity with AI-native patterns such as agentic workflows, evaluation harnesses, prompt-and-response evaluation, and evidence packets.
