Manufacturing Engineer (Summer Intern 2027) (Aerospace)

Location: West Lafayette, Indiana, United States. Onsite summer 2027 internship. Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or protected individual under 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3).

Compensation: $21–$24 per hour, depending on previous internship experience.

What you will do

• Complete an assigned engineering internship project with defined deliverables and operational impact.
• Coordinate project activities and apply engineering coursework to production-related challenges.
• Work with a mentor to receive feedback and direction throughout the assignment.
• Contribute to continuous improvement projects with quality, manufacturing, and tooling teams.
• Improve manufacturing processes and participate in problem-solving events.

Requirements

• Enrollment in an accredited Engineering or related degree program is required.
• Completion of at least the freshman year by the fall 2026 hire date.
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Strong teamwork, communication, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently, deliver high-quality work, and lead change.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen is required.

Nice to have

• Previous co-op experience.
• Interest in aircraft design and production.
