Jackson Supply Chain Planner (Fiber Optic Cable Manufacturing)

Location: Jackson, Tennessee, United States; work in both office and manufacturing environments, including plant floor inspections.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain rolling master production schedules for fiber optic cable and related products.
• Translate forecasts and customer orders into executable production plans.
• Balance capacity, labor, equipment constraints, material supply, inventory, and delivery commitments.
• Lead weekly planning meetings and coordinate schedule changes with Sales, Customer Service, Procurement, Manufacturing, Operations, and Logistics.
• Monitor schedule attainment, on-time delivery, inventory turns, capacity utilization, and forecast accuracy.
• Maintain ERP/MRP planning parameters, bills of materials, lead times, routings, and other master data.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of production planning, master scheduling, or supply chain experience in manufacturing.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems such as SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, or similar.
• Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
• Ability to walk, stand, and conduct inspections on the plant floor.

Nice to have

• APICS/ASCM certification such as CPIM or CSCP.
• Experience with fiber optic cable, wire and cable, plastics extrusion, or continuous manufacturing.
• Knowledge of S&OP processes and advanced planning and scheduling systems.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles.
