TL;DR
TV Integration Engineer (Backend): Building and integrating TV backoffice solutions with vendor systems, with an accent on end-to-end validation, complex troubleshooting, and backend platform optimization. Focus on designing system architectures, integrating REST APIs and cloud components, automating integration processes, and providing third-line production support.
Location: Lisbon, Portugal; hybrid model with 8–10 in-office days per month

What you will do
- Integrate and implement TV backoffice backend systems according to product and system architecture specifications.
- Validate end-to-end integration components and coordinate deliverables across cross-functional teams and vendors.
- Integrate new features, configure components, and maintain validation and release documentation.
- Provide third-line support for production issues, including complex troubleshooting and handover documentation.
- Continuously improve and automate integration processes and establish effective communication workflows.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on integration and delivery activities.
Requirements
- Engineering qualification, preferably at master's level, or a strong track record in a similar role.
- At least 10 years of telecommunications experience in the TV area and deep knowledge of TV platform backend solutions.
- Experience with databases such as MS SQL, MySQL, or MongoDB; networking, load balancers, firewalls, proxies, and information security.
- Cloud ecosystem experience with Kubernetes or a similar technology, plus understanding of complex system architecture.
- Strong English proficiency required.
- Experience with REST APIs, API design and testing, Kafka or Flume, broadcast metadata standards, CI/CD, DevOps, and Agile methods such as Scrum or SAFe.
